Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Solution Architect – Cloud, Applications & Infrastructure, for one of our key government clients. The Solution Architect – Cloud, Applications & Infrastructure will lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud-based solutions — with a focus on migrating critical infrastructure and applications from on-premises to the cloud. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to architect end-to-end solutions that accelerate digital transformation, optimize performance, and ensure operational resilience.
Candidate MUST have the following:
- 8+ years experience as a Solutions Architect
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (preferred);
- Professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) with a key emphasis on Microsoft certifications;
- Additional relevant certifications in networking, security, or infrastructure (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, VMware) are a plus;
- Experience as a Solution Architect with cloud and on-prem infrastructure expertise;
- Experience with application development on the cloud;
- Hands-on development experience in languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or Node.js, with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices;
- Experience with application integration, APIs, and microservices;
- Strong track record of migrating complex on-prem applications to public cloud; and
- Good understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, and security principles.
Candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following activities:
- Lead cloud migration strategy and execution for on-prem infrastructure and applications;
- Design hybrid and cloud-native architectures leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP;
- Define technical roadmaps and integration patterns that align with business goals;
- Oversee infrastructure modernization, including networking, storage, and compute;
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide delivery from design through implementation; and
- Maintain and organize architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical artifacts in an enterprise architecture repository.
