Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking an Intermediate Project Manager, for one of our key clients.

Candidate MUST have the following:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant certifications are highly desirable;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management, with at least three (3) years in an Agile-focused role in a technology environment. Prior experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred;
  • Solid understanding of API technologies, including integration patterns, data exchange protocols (REST, SOAP), and API lifecycle management. Experience in managing projects involving API development or integration is essential;
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), including scaling agile practices across large, matrixed organizations;
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and practices, including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid models. Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation through to completion;
  • Managing and leading cross-functional teams within large, matrixed organizations, with a demonstrated ability to navigate organizational complexities;
  • Proficiency in using Jira for Agile project management, tracking tasks, sprints, and issues. Familiarity with Clarity or other portfolio management tools for tracking financials, resources, and project status;
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executives and technical teams;
  • Previous experience working in large-scale financial services organizations, with an understanding of financial products, regulatory requirements, and industry standards;
  • Exposure to modern software development technologies, IT systems architecture, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS); and
  • Experience working with scaled agile frameworks and advanced agile techniques.

Candidate should have the following demonstrated experience:

  • Leading and managing technology projects using Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of software and systems. Acting as an Agile champion to foster an environment of continuous improvement;
  • Overseeing cross-functional, matrixed teams composed of technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving collaboration and alignment across multiple departments, business units, and external partners;
  • Developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets. Leading project teams to achieve milestones, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met;
  • Identifying potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle. Proactively implementing mitigation strategies and managing project changes effectively to minimize impact;
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders at all levels, from executives to technical teams. Regularly reporting on project progress, risks, and overall performance;
  • Managing and delivering technology projects that involve APIs, ensuring seamless integration between systems. Understanding API technologies, data exchange, and integration patterns to drive technical execution and troubleshoot issues;
  • Utilizing Jira for Agile project tracking and Clarity for portfolio management and financial tracking. Ensuring project status, tasks, and issues are accurately captured and monitored. Using these tools to generate reports, track project progress, and communicating effectively with stakeholders;
  • Working closely with technical leads, product managers, and business analysts to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. Facilitating agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups; and
  • Supporting the adoption and successful implementation of change management processes within the project, ensuring stakeholders are prepared for changes in technology and business processes.
