Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking an Intermediate Business System Analyst, for one of our key clients to analyze business problems and requirements **to develop product** specifications and contribute to product effectively and efficiently.

Candidate MUST have the following:

  • University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Active pursuit of related industry certifications is considered an asset;
  • Minimum two (2) to five (5) years of experience as a Business System Analyst in a team environment;
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Iterative, Agile);
  • Working knowledge of business processes across systems;
  • Proficient knowledge of strategies for gathering, analyzing, and validating requirements;
  • Proficient business acumen and knowledge of related industry business functions;
  • Proficient experience with: Collecting requirements and translating them into software product designs and specifications, test-driven development and test frameworks; and
  • Experience with adapting methods to meet specific project or product needs.

Candidate should have the following demonstrated experience:

  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of work to maximize quality, building credibility and avoiding re-work;
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Understanding the costs and benefits of actions, and making recommendations towards the most appropriate one, using collaboration and judgement to form conclusions;
  • Seeking to understand business needs, delivering high quality service to the business;
  • Facilitating cooperation among peers and within the team, leveraging feedback to develop new strategies and approaches;
  • Building effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders quickly and confidently, to positively influence outcomes;
  • Communicating issues clearly and effectively with stakeholders; and
  • Passionate about technology and the user experience, demonstrates inner-self-starter, and is accepting of and open to learning new ideas outside of scope or knowledge.
