Donna Cona Participates at a National Aboriginal Economic Conference


Donna Cona was honoured to be a keynote speaker at the "Generating Opportunity & Wealth Conference" 06 held November 21-23rd in Ottawa and to attend the Ministers reception hosted by the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada on opening night.

Aboriginal leaders, federal and provincial governments, as well as private sector companies were represented at the  Generating Opportunity & Wealth Conference  06 . The conference's objective was set to address economic strategies that would increase the participation of Aboriginal Peoples' in mainstream and global economies.

"Donna Cona recognizes that economic development is key to improving the standard of living and quality of life for Aboriginal people and is committed to work with provincial, territorial and Aboriginal communities to improve opportunities that will deliver results." stated Ken Thomas, CEO of the First Nation Network. "FNN valued Donna Cona's contribution and was honoured to have the company play a key role at our event"
