Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Project Director, Senior Level, for one of our key clients. The primary focus of this role will be to assist the client in the commercialization of telecom services for fibre project and other telecom opportunities.

The successful candidates will have the following profile:

  • Over seven (7) years of relevant experience;
  • Extensive experience in providing Project Director Services for similar specialized and complex projects;
  • Extensive experience with multiple large projects; and
  • Experience setting up Wholesale offerings for Telecomm or Government providers offering Internet Access Services to ISP’s, building the business model, pricing model, and understanding the technologies needing to be implemented in support of the initiative.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide overall project management leadership for the Project, which includes daily decisions relating to managing project resources, budgets and project deliverables. Provide regular and ad hoc status reports;
  • Further developing, implementing, maintaining, and generally managing the overall Project Management Plan that addresses all aspects of implementing the Project. Use the client’s project management information system(s) as defined by IM/IT;
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Project Online;
  • Provide, at a minimum or more frequently when required, bi-weekly updates to the Director Government Information & Planning throughout the project term;
  • Provide direction and manage all funding, legal, regulatory, and all other agreements necessary for the implementation of the Project;
  • In consultation with key staff from the client and advisors, present reports to the senior management and Steering Committee(s) on strategies, plans, status, emerging issues, and proposed solutions as related to the implementation of the Project;
  • Provide regular progress and financial reports, and appropriately identify and raise issues of concern with their suggested solutions for review; and
  • In addition, oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive media and public communications plan for all stakeholder relations, working in alignment with CGS Communications Division.
