Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Health, for one of our key clients.

The successful candidate will have the following profile:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Business Analyst;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant progressive experience in business analysis for eHealth;
  • Understanding of national and jurisdiction initiatives related to eHealth, in particular client registries, telehealth, digital medical imagery, laboratory reporting and drug management systems;
  • Able to conduct needs assessments to analyze current business problems or opportunities of an organization;
  • Able to recommend actions to address business needs and prepare business cases including cost benefit analysis for proposed solutions;
  • Experienced in creating business analysis plans and planning business analysis work;
  • Experienced in requirements elicitation and analysis;
  • Understanding of business modeling concepts, and ability to utilize, UML notations;
  • Understanding of change management as it relates to business analysis and managing change to requirements;
  • Have clear oral, written, nonverbal and effective interpersonal communication skills appropriate to all levels of management and clients;
  • Able to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team;
  • Strong analytical skills, and solid experience in writing functional and non-functional specifications
  • Well balanced understanding of business relationships, business requirements, IT requirements and technical solutions;
  • Experience/understanding of business process documentation, re-engineering, business systems development and analysis;
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and changing priorities;
  • Knowledge in health information and data management; and
  • Knowledge in applications that help carry out day-to-day project tasks; including but not limited to MS Office suite.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform high level and detailed assessment on proposals and concepts for new and existing health information initiatives;
  • Analyzes business processes and reviews existing information systems;
  • Elicit and document Business and stakeholder requirements;
  • Maps existing business processes;
  • Participates in the design of new systems that support business processes;
  • Reviews new systems designs and functions;
  • Identifies reporting requirements;
  • Identifies data, interfaces, and tests requirements;
  • Develops and executes systems and acceptance test scripts and procedures;
  • Designs training materials;
  • Prepares business cases including cost/benefit analysis for proposed solutions;
  • Contribute to the postmortem analysis following any assigned project completion;
  • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; and
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
