Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Platform Analyst, Level 3 for one of our key government clients.

Candidate MUST have the following:

  • A valid security clearance at the level of Secret;
  • A minimum of a three (3) year college diploma (computer science or other IT related field), OR a university degree at the Bachelor level in Information Technology (computer science or engineering) or other IT related field, OR a minimum of ten (10) years (in the last 15 years) work experience in the IT field;
  • A minimum ten (10) years of experience in the following: Developing and document detailed statement of requirements for the proposed platform, analyzing functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows, evaluating existing procedures and methods (including those leveraging virtualization technologies), identifying and documents database content, structure, and application sub-systems, and develop data dictionary, defining and documenting interfaces of manual to automated operations within sub-systems, to external systems and between new and existing systems, defining input/output sources, including detailed plan for technical design phase, and obtain approval for system proposals, designing and documenting in detail all system components, interfaces and operational environment, designing data structures and files, sub-systems and modules, programs, batch, on line, and production monitoring procedures, testing strategy and systems, documenting system design, concepts and facilities, presenting and obtaining approval of detailed system designs, producing operational systems documentation including all forms, manuals, programs, data files and procedures;
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with virtualization technologies, including VMWare or Citrix or Microsoft;
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience integrating data centre solutions with both networks and security platforms (including firewalls); and
  • Working as a Platform Analyst on a minimum of two (2) different projects in IT organizations similar or greater in size and complexity to the Client, in which the proposed resource evaluated, recommended, and implemented transformations related to VMWare or Citrix or Microsoft.

Candidate should have the following demonstrated experience:

  • Working as a Platform Analyst on IM/IT projects in each of the following: Preparing assessment(s) on the current state of the technical design, and detailing technical requirements, developing detailed requirements and strategies to meet business, functional and application requirements, working with Rational Databases Oracle or SQL Server, providing application analysis, design, development, testing, monitoring, or capacity planning and, performing at least 70% of the associated tasks listed in the Statement of Work;
  • Deploying VMWare engineering, architectural planning, and implementation of VMWare services; and
  • Demonstrating experience in the migration of enterprise (Department wide) platforms/operating systems in an IM/IT environment;
  • Reviewing infrastructure requirements, including data centre, network, and security, and developing infrastructure recommendations to support those requirements;
  • Demonstrating strong communications and presentation skills through years’ experience on working directly with end clients (frequent interaction) associated to information technology projects;
  • Demonstrating experience in knowledge transfer and cross training within a multidisciplinary organization;
  • Gathering, prioritizing, analyzing, and consolidating business requirements via interacting with the end users of one/multiple services and various project/program stakeholders within the last seven (7) years; and
  • Demonstrating experience with Application software development and/or Application software architecture within the last seven (7) years.
