Our flagship Northern client is looking for up to five (5), Project Managers for a long term contract opportunity. Initial contract to start as soon as possible until March 31, 2022 (with strong likelihood of a 1 year renewal). Work is to be performed on-site in Iqaluit with travel to and from Iqaluit to Pond Inlet and other communities (once a month). Each Project Manager will be responsible for managing our client’s funded infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Project Manager working on large commercial and/or institutional buildings and/or civic works.

The successful candidates MUST have the following:

  • Experience as a Project Manager working on large commercial and/or institutional buildings and/or civic works;
  • Knowledge of construction procurement strategies and practices and considerable experience in managing consultant and construction contracts;
  • Knowledge of modern project management best practices and considerable experience in project delivery;
  • Oral and written communication skills, particularly in a virtual environment;
  • Stakeholder management and consensus-building skills;
  • Interpersonal and negotiating skills;
  • Conflict management skills;
  • Management and leadership skills;
  • Team building skills;
  • Estimating skills to lead in the development of budgets for capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects;
  • Analytical skills to evaluate results against objectives (eg. schedule/budget/quality); and
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills to solve and initiate corrective action to problems encountered managing the project.
