Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking the services of a Business Analyst with strong experience writing Terms of References for RFP’s to secure a Web-based content management solution based on Drupal. The web Business Analyst should have strong experience gathering and documenting requirements for web design and web content, an understanding about best practices involved with user-experience (UX) design, search engines, marketing, analytics and website optimization. The business analyst will be required to document requirements and develop terms of reference for updates to the client’s internet site. Working knowledge of open source software and web content management systems like Drupal, WordPress and Joomla will be considered an asset.

The successful candidate should possess the ability to translate conceptual technical ideas into more layman terms and be able to work well within a team.

Required Competencies:

  • Lead the RFP process, Prepare analysis, proposals, and other project documents
  • Experience writing Statement of work (SOW), Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Offers (RFO)
  • Prepare and provide input RFP/RFI/RFQ
  • Must have worked with open source software and web content management systems like Drupal and WordPress or Joomla
  • Ability to conduct needs assessments in order to analyze current business problems or opportunities of an organization;
  • Ability to recommend actions to address business needs;
  • Experienced in creating business analysis plans and planning business analysis work;
  • Experienced in requirements elicitation and analysis;
  • Understanding of business modeling concepts, and ability to utilize, UML notations;
  • Knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle;
  • Understanding of change management as it relates to business analysis and managing change to requirements;
  • Have clear oral, written, nonverbal and effective interpersonal communication skills appropriate to all levels of management and clients;
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team;
  • Strong analytical skills, and solid experience in writing functional and nonfunctional specifications;
  • Well balanced understanding of business relationships, business requirements, IT requirements and technical solutions;
  • Experience/understanding of business process documentation, re-engineering, business systems development and analysis;
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines;
  • Knowledge of web content management systems; and
  • Knowledge in applications that help carry out day-to-day project tasks; including but not limited to MS Office suite

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze business processes and review existing information systems;
  • Define business and technical integration requirements and provide the strategic recommendations about necessary updates;
  • Participate in reviewing and validating web design requirements that support business processes;
  • Review and validate website designs and functions;
  • Identifies data, interfaces and tests requirements; and
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
